Week One Update

It has been officially one week since the beginning of the year and things have already started:

  • I have exercised every weekday for at least 30 minutes
  • I have downed at least 64 ounces of water every day
  • I have incorporated more fruits and vegetables into my diet
  • I have lost 5.4 pounds
There is still a long way to go, but this is a very good start and I am very happy with the progress I have been making.

2013 is for sure going to be the year that Fat Guy goes away for good.

  1. Son, I know you can do it! Some days will be stronger than others, as you know. You have always had the determination to achieve your goals! When I get discouraged about my weight, Dad always says," did you gain it in one day?" You have to take one day at a time. To many of us think, if we don't lose more than 2 pounds in a week, that we are failures, not true. Your body works different every day. Weight watchers says if you lose 2 pounds in one week-- In one year you will lose 104 pounds!!! They say don't eat the same thing every day, your body needs a variety of foods! You have lost 33 pounds, try carrying 30 pounds of potatoes a round for the day! You are my hero Eric, I believe you will succeed!!! Pat yourself on your back and quit being so hard on yourself! I sure love you! ♥
